When One Person Struggles, Everyone Feels It

A family program, not an afterthought

Mental health and addiction are family experiences. Loved ones carry worry, anger, guilt, and exhaustion, and old patterns can quietly keep everyone stuck. Research consistently shows that when families are involved, outcomes improve and recovery lasts longer. Our family program gives the people around your loved one a real role: understanding what is happening, communicating differently, and taking care of themselves.

Family work here is woven directly into treatment rather than bolted on. Whether your loved one is in our Individualized Intensive Program, PHP, or IOP, family education, guided family sessions, and communication coaching are part of the same coordinated plan, led by the same master’s-level team.

We also host evening open family meetings: a welcoming, low-pressure space where loved ones can learn about recovery, connect with other families who understand, and feel less alone. And when a family is trying to move someone toward care who is not ready yet, our intervention services provide structured, compassionate help.

Our Approach

Compassion for everyone in the story

We do not assign blame. Families are doing their best in hard circumstances, and they deserve tools, not judgment. We help loved ones support recovery without losing themselves, respect the boundaries and autonomy of the person in treatment, and stay honest about cost and out-of-network benefits from the first conversation. Every family is different, so the work is customized around yours.

Common Questions

Family support, answered

If you do not see your question here, call our admissions team at (877) 549-5102 and we will walk you through it.

Do you have to be in treatment for my family to get support?

Family work is most powerful alongside a loved one’s care, and we will talk through the best way to involve your family during an assessment. Our evening open family meetings are also a welcoming entry point for loved ones.

What if my loved one will not get help yet?

That is common and painful. Call us and we will talk through options, including our professionally guided intervention services, ways to support them while they decide, and how to care for yourself in the meantime.

What are the evening open family meetings?

A welcoming, low-pressure space where loved ones learn about recovery, connect with other families who understand, and find support together. Call us and we will share how to take part.

How can I support my loved one without enabling them?

It is one of the hardest balances in recovery. We help families set caring, consistent boundaries, separate support from rescuing, and respond to setbacks without shame. You do not have to figure it out alone.

Is family work confidential?

Yes. We respect the privacy of everyone involved, protect information under HIPAA, and will explain exactly how confidentiality works for family sessions before you begin.

Is family involvement part of every program?

Family education, sessions, and coaching are available at every level of care, from the Individualized Intensive Program through PHP and IOP, when clinically appropriate and with the client’s consent.

What does family support cost?

We are private pay and work with out-of-network benefits. Family involvement is built into care, and we explain any costs clearly and verify your benefits before you commit to anything.

Can family sessions happen virtually?

Yes. Family sessions and education can be held virtually when distance or schedules require it, so the whole family can take part.

How do I talk to someone about their drinking?

Choose a calm, private moment when they are sober. Speak from concern rather than blame, describe specific things you have seen, and say how it affects you. Avoid labels and arguments, and be ready to listen. If the conversation does not go well, that is common. Our family program can help you plan what to say and how to respond, and our admissions team can talk through next steps.

When can I call and speak with someone?

Our admissions team answers seven days a week, from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm Central Time. Call (877) 549-5102 to talk with a real person about what is going on, your schedule, and whether our programs are the right fit. If you reach out after hours, leave a message or send the consultation form and we will return your call as soon as we open. If this is an emergency, call 911. If you or someone you love is in a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
