Who We Are
Clinically sophisticated. Deeply personal.
Heights Behavioral Health was founded on a simple conviction: adults deserve behavioral health care built around them, not slotted into a fixed 30, 60, or 90-day program. We are a private-pay, out-of-network practice at 1009 Yale Street in the Houston Heights, which means clinical decisions are driven by what each person actually needs, never by what an insurer will authorize. We treat mental health, trauma, substance use, and process addictions, together when they overlap, and the result feels less like a clinic and more like a private practice that knows your name and your history.

What We Stand For
The values behind the practice
Female-founded, founder-led, and rooted in the Houston Heights, the practice runs on a short list of non-negotiables.
Resilience & Renewal
Built With You, Not Promised To You
We do not promise outcomes, because honest clinicians cannot. We promise individualized, evidence-based care, and we build resilience and renewal with each client rather than selling it to them.
Transparency
Say What We Charge, Say What We Cover
Cost and coverage are explained plainly in the first conversation, before any commitment. Private pay with superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and never a surprise fee.
Boutique Depth
Small Footprint, Deep Clinical Bench
A deliberately small practice with an outsized clinical bench: CSAT, EMDR, CPT, Somatic Experiencing, neurofeedback, and family systems, so every client gets specialty care without the institutional feel.
Our Approach
Care that is customized around you
No two people arrive with the same story, so no two plans look alike. Care begins with a thorough, ASAM-guided assessment; a licensed clinician then designs the plan from the level of care and evidence-based modalities that fit you, CBT, DBT, CPT, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and family systems work, with medication management integrated when appropriate. Intensity adjusts as you stabilize, family comes in when it helps, and the Heights difference runs through all of it.
Honest Fit
See whether we are the right fit for you
One confidential conversation with admissions, and if the right next step is somewhere other than here, we will say so and help you find it.
